SHIFTING & TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS
Transmission repair in Orlando, FL
A slipping, slamming or slow-to-engage transmission rarely fixes itself, and driving on it can turn a repair into a much bigger job. McCoy Enterprises diagnoses transmission problems, explains what we find and gives you an estimate before any work begins.

Why transmissions fail, and why early diagnosis matters
An automatic transmission uses pressurized fluid to engage clutches and change gears, and that fluid also cools and lubricates the parts inside. When the fluid runs low from a leak, wears out or overheats, the clutches slip, shifts get harsh or delayed, and heat builds up quickly. Heat is the main enemy of a transmission, and Orlando gives it plenty: hot pavement, long climbs on overpasses and slow stop-and-go traffic on I-4 or Orange Blossom Trail all make it work harder.
Many shifting problems start small, with a sensor, a solenoid, a wiring fault or a fluid issue, and catching them early can keep a repair smaller. Ignoring a slip usually makes it worse, because a slipping clutch creates more heat and more wear. That is why the first step is a proper diagnosis: we check for stored codes, look at the fluid, look for leaks and road-test the car when it is safe, then explain the options before anything is repaired or replaced.
