WHERE MCCOY STARTED

Oil change and maintenance in Orlando, FL

McCoy Enterprises opened in 2017 as a one-bay oil-change shop. Today we’re a full-service team, and oil changes are still the routine service that keeps an engine healthy.

Oil change and engine maintenance

At our shop at 6450 S Orange Ave in Pine Castle, we offer synthetic and conventional oil and filter changes, each with a multi-point inspection, so small issues get spotted before they turn into expensive repairs.

Oil Change in Orlando: what’s included

  • Synthetic and conventional oil changes
  • Oil filter replacement
  • Multi-point inspection
  • Fluid and wear-item checks
  • Recommendations explained, with nothing done without your approval

Why oil changes matter in Orlando heat and traffic

Engine oil does more than lubricate. It carries heat away from parts the coolant can’t reach, holds dirt and combustion by-products in suspension so the filter can trap them, and protects metal surfaces from wear and corrosion. Over time, heat breaks the oil down and its additives get used up, so it protects less even when the level on the dipstick looks fine.

Many owner’s manuals list two schedules, one for normal use and one for severe use. Short trips, long periods of idling, stop-and-go traffic and very hot weather all count as severe use in many manuals, and a typical Orlando commute can include all four. That doesn’t mean every car needs oil more often than the manual says, but it is worth checking which schedule fits the way you drive. Every oil change here comes with a multi-point inspection, so a leaking hose, a worn belt or low tire tread gets spotted while the car is already in the shop.

It’s time for an oil change when

  • You’ve reached the interval in your owner’s manual or on your reminder sticker
  • The oil-change or maintenance reminder is on
  • The oil level is low or the oil looks dark and gritty
  • The engine sounds louder than usual

Oil Change: frequently asked questions

How often should I change my oil?
Follow the interval in your owner’s manual. It depends on your engine, the oil type and how you drive. Florida heat and stop-and-go traffic can count as severe use, so ask us for a recommendation for your vehicle.
Do you use synthetic oil?
We offer both synthetic and conventional oil changes. We’ll use the type your vehicle requires.
What does the multi-point inspection cover?
We check key items such as fluids, belts, hoses, tires and brakes, then tell you what we found. Nothing extra is done without your approval.
